What area of Mike Rowe’s S.W.E.A.T pledge resonates the most with you as your pursue your new career? Statement 12 is very captivating in regards to the people who argue that their environment is the reason they are unsuccessful. I was taught my entire life that we live in a free country and I could do anything if "I work my butt off". People can't comprehend the amount of choice they have with their lives and they continue to stay in this revolving rut. The "American Dream" use to be owning land, working hard to provide for your family. I feel that people see the "American Dream" as getting rich quick and being the most popular on social media. We as a country need to start realizing that this land was founded on hard work that we could do to make a more prosperous nation. The amount of abuse the system is taking from everyone who just has their hand out is ruining the newer generation of kids. As a whole, people need to find a way to work harder, and that starts with the little things such as not "choosing to sleep in".
